U of L Wind Orchestra

Wind orchestra performing on stage, view from percussion section

Conductor: Dr. Holly De Caigny

The U of L Wind Orchestra is an auditioned ensemble comprised of approximately 65 students. Music majors make up a large percentage of the group with students from various other disciplines participating as well. The group has an active performance schedule that includes four on-campus concerts, appearances at the Fall and Spring Convocations, as well as an annual tour. Repertoire is eclectic, coming mainly from significant composers of the past 60 years. Many of the students are studying to be music educators so their knowledge and performance of quality composers and compositions is critical to their success.
