We offer two campuses — Lethbridge and Calgary — and more than 150 programs. Students in the Career and Technologies (CTS) major choose one areas of focus: Business Focus or New Media Focus.

As new students, you will start your path in the Faculty of your focus: Dhillon School of Business in the case of CTS:Business Focus, and Faculty of Fine Arts if you chose CTS: New Media Focus.

Through new media production and studies, you explore the interconnectivity between technology, art, industry, and culture. Our students acquire the creative, critical, and technical skills necessary to evolve with emerging technologies in a variety of professional practices.

Receive two degrees in five years by combining your studies in drama education from K-12. Choose to become a drama specialist in the classroom by combining your love of drama and teaching with either the highly specialized BFA focussing on acting, stagecraft, design, and directing, or a BA with broader studies in science, social sciences, humanities and your drama major.

As an English major, your study of language and literature will lead to a better understanding of our world. You'll explore the properties and power of language through courses in the three genres of poetry, drama and prose from the British, American and Canadian traditions. You may also develop your skills in creative writing, select from special topics such as tragedy, comedy and myth, or delve into the life and works of a major author. As an Education major a student develops a strong knowledge base in the subject area they intend to teach. They also receive in-depth preparation in how to teach, including both general and subject area instructional methods.

Students in the Indigenous Studies program will study how the Indigenous perspective relates to disciplines involving art, law, philosophy, politics, history, gender studies, ecology, business, customs, and language. All of the classes in Indigenous Studies are taught from the Indigenous viewpoint — this makes our program one of the most sought after programs in Canada. As an Education major a student develops a strong knowledge base in the subject area they intend to teach. They also receive in-depth preparation in how to teach, including both general and subject area instructional methods.

As a mathematics student you have the opportunity to study both pure mathematics and applied mathematics, and you are given the opportunity to see the real-world application of your textual studies. The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education enables students to study and promote life-long physical activity involvement. Physical activity plays a major role in our lifestyle - from young to old we all participate in different physical activities. Kinesiology helps to understand these activities, the need for physical activity, as well as facets of motivation, history, anatomy, and psychology. As an Education major a student develops a strong knowledge base in the subject area they intend to teach. They also receive in-depth preparation in how to teach, including both general and subject area instructional methods.

The Department of Biological Sciences provides you with a great deal of hands-on learning and engaging research, moving you beyond text books and lectures. Chemistry is often called the Central Science as it deals specifically with the 110 elements that comprise all matter. The air we breathe, water we drink, food we eat, buildings we live in, cars we drive - our very bodies - are all made from these elements.Chemists pursue the study of matter down to the level of individual atoms, and, in particular, focus on molecules, which are aggregates of elements that act as larger units. Physics is the fundamental science. All other sciences and technologies rely on the principles of physics, by applying them to their systems of interest and/or by using technology based on them.
