University of Lethbridge Owns and operates U of L Residences Board of Governors Sets policy for the operation of Residence Including financial concerns Based on the recommendation of the General Faculties Council Director of Housing Services Responsible for Housing Services Reports to the Associate Executive Director of Ancillary Services Administrates the Residences within the policies as approved by the Board of Governors Recommendations to change existing policies or to develop new policies are the Director's responsibility, in consultation with the Associate Director of Housing Services and Residence Council Policy recommendations are made to the Associate Executive Director of Ancillary Services and depending on their nature, may require approval by the General Faculties Council or the Board of Governors Residence Council Acts as an advisory body to the Director of Housing Services Director of Housing Services authorizes the Residence Council to take executive action in the areas of residence life programming The University grants the Residence Council the right to enforce the enclosed rules and regulations necessary to maintain a peaceful and orderly environment for residence living Residence Council has the right to appeal up to the Office of the President in disputes with administrative bodies
