Master Plan Report (2000)
The Master Plan
The Master Plan Report (2000) established a framework for future growth and change of the University of Lethbridge during a particularly constrained time in our development history. As outlined in the introduction of the report, it was intended to be a working document for the University of Lethbridge. Its preparation involved the creation of very preliminary design titles for all nine new precincts of campus. The Master Plan Report anticipated the detailed conceptual design of the Research Park Precinct and its inaugural capital project, the Life Sciences Building (known today as the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience - CCBN). This is documented in a supplementary Precinct Plan report. It was intended that detailed Precinct Plans would be developed for each precinct followed by the creation of Conceptual Design Guidelines for each precinct as new project funding became available for future development across campus precinct areas as defined in the Master Plan Report (2000).
The Master Plan itself would then be under periodic review, updated as the detailed design of each of the precincts developed to ensure that the Master Plan remained abreast of changes in university requirements.
