Bill Forster - Educational Developer
e-mail: bill.forster@uleth.ca phone: 403.329-2497

As an Educational Developer, my role is to support faculty in their teaching by consulting on pedagogical strategies, course design, assessment, and helping to foster a culture of learning throughout the university.   I also facilitate and develop PD opportunities and resources to support and grow relevant, responsive teaching practice in the complex world of education.  I have  particular interest in the evolution of Educational Technology, particularly AI, as it impacts and changes the way we connect with each other as teachers and learners, as well as the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and its impact on effective education.

My educational background includes a BSc with Specialization in Meteorology from the University  of Alberta, a BEd (Secondary - Physics Major) from the University of British Columbia, and a MEd in Instructional Technology from the University of Alberta. The majority of my educational career has been spent in the public school system, as a teacher, vice principal, and principal at the secondary level. Throughout my career I have always been passionate about and focused on improvement in  teaching and learning. I am excited to continue that work at the University of Lethbridge in the teaching centre!

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
