SAVE THE DATE! After an extraordinary community response to Vibe Fest 2025, the Faculty of Fine Arts is pleased to announce that Vibe Fest will be returning April 18, 2026. Community members will once again be invited to enjoy an all-access, premiere showcase of student, faculty, staff and alumni talent and creativity.

Featuring David Miller
Other Suns
SAAG (601 Third Ave S)
In conjunction with his exhibition Other Suns at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, David Miller reflects on his works made with light-sensitive paper and his ongoing “live photographs.” In this talk, Miller discusses how light becomes both subject and medium, situating Other Suns within current dialogues on latency, perception, and the unstable boundaries between presence, memory, and disappearance.

An Indigenous-led exploration into Artificial Intelligence
November 20: Join graduate student Blair Many Fingers in making a Tipi craft while participants listen to stories that relate to the Niitóyis Research Paradigm Framework, on display in the Hess Gallery. Materials will be provided while supplies last. From Michelle Sylvestre, “AIPI, Clues, and Curious Minds”. Inspired by the classic game show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, this interactive activity invites visitors to test their knowledge of artificial intelligence and follow clues that reveal how AI is shaped by culture, history, and power. Explore surprising connections, challenge assumptions, and see how technology reflects the world we live in. No experience required, just bring your curiosity.

Under the direction of Dr. Janet Youngdahl, the University of Lethbridge Singers is a talented ensemble of emerging vocalists. Since their establishment in 1982, the ensemble has graced stages throughout the community and across Canada, performing a wide variety of styles and has premiered several works by notable Canadian composers.
