Gushul Artist's Studio

With its vaulted clerestory windows dominating the main room, the Artist's Studio has an abundance of northern light and the space necessary to produce large works. It can accommodate one-person working independently, or up to a four-person collaborative team. The generously proportioned studio is the central feature of a fully-furnished house with two-bedroom loft. It has a private bedroom with a double bed, and an additional semi-private room with twin beds. The house is comfortably equipped with all living and working amenities, including good quality linens, a well-appointed kitchen, bath and laundry facilities, wireless high-speed internet, and local telephone service.

Basic equipment in studio is available for use including easels, drawing/painting boards, extension cords and power bars, standing lamps, a small ladder, and a large work table. Artists are expected to bring their own tools and supplies.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
