Gushul Residency Fees

Residents are responsible for all expenses related to the cost of their residency period, including travel, food, and required materials. Residents are also responsible for the bi-monthly or monthly rental fees for the facility. Residency Fees include GST.

Residents are expected to return the facilities to the clean state in which they were found upon arrival. Additional fees will apply if extra cleaning or repairs are required following a residency.

Artist's Studio

One month: $1500.00 CAD
Half month: $870.00 CAD

Writer's Cottage

One month: $980.00 CAD
Half month: $610.00 CAD

Pet Policy

Dogs may be permitted to accompany residents. Certain rules and conditions apply as outlined in the Pet Policy Agreement. This agreement must be signed by the Resident and approved by the Landlord for the agreement to be valid. If approved, a separate non-refundable pet fee is required as follows:

One month: $150.00
Half month: $75.00

Fee Payment

Fee Payment is made in two installments. Each installment is half the total Residency Fee. The first installment is due following confirmation of the Residency. Please note that, in case of cancellation, half of this deposit is non-refundable; however the whole amount may be applied towards rebooking, provided rebooking occurs at the same time. The second installment is due three months prior to the residency period. If cancellation occurs less than three months in advance of the start date, the full amount is non-refundable; in some cases, a percentage of this fee may be applied towards rebooking.

Non-refundable Pet Fee is paid separately from the Residency Fee and is due at the same time as the residency second installment payment (3 months prior to the residency period).

If rebooking is requested by the Resident, a rebooking fee of $100 (for both full month and half month bookings) will be charged.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
