Single Students - Not a First-Come/First-Serve System
The process of assigning campus housing is a complex one. Our overall goal is to find an acceptable balance for first, second, third and fourth year students within appropriate facilities for year of study.
Consequently, we do not process applications on a first-come/first serve basis. If we did so, all of the second and third year students would be applying for rooms one year in advance and all of the residences would be full by mid-September.
Instead, we have developed a Lottery System with two separate "draws," one for New University Students and one for Continuing | Transfer | Mature Students.
Watch for Early-Bird & Lottery draw application deadlines for New University Students announced yearly in Important Dates calendar.
Note: If you do not receive a room offer by the beginning of August, you will receive an Option email notifying you that a residence offer appears unlikely and how you may proceed with your application.
