The Canadian Pain Centre of Excellence (CPCoE) for Canadian Veterans has created Capacity Building Initiatives (CBIs) to support research in fields related to Veterans’ chronic pain. The CBIs were created to support individual students completing research at the Master’s or doctoral level. The aim of the CBI program is to support and increase the number of researchers whose research is relevant to Veterans living with chronic pain. This investment in evidence generation will help to deepen the field of research and will provide critical support to the next generation of researchers in the field. 

Value: 

  • $20,000 per year for up to a maximum of two (2) years for Masters
  • $20,000 per year for up to a maximum of three (3) years for Doctoral

Deadline: April 12

Eligibility:

Candidates must be:

  • Be registered in a Master's or a Doctoral program at a recognized Canadian University
  • Propose a research project on chronic pain with a focus on Canadian Armed Forces Veterans that is relevant to the COCoE Vision and Mission
  • Demonstrate high academic achievement
