Students may enter the EAP program at the beginning of any semester. Semesters begin in September (Fall Semester), January (Spring Semester), and May (Summer Semester).
Each level of the EAP program consists for two courses: Writing/Reading and Communication. Each course is 10 hours/week. Together, these two courses make a full-time, 20 hour/week program. Each course lasts 13 weeks (approximately 4 months).
A placement test on the first day of orientation determines where new students begin in the EAP program. If you are a new student, please ensure you arrive in Lethbridge early. More information about placement testing and orientation schedules will be sent to new students closer to the start of the semester. Returning students who passed their previous EAP course will register in the next level. No placement test is necessary for returning students.

For the deadline to register in EAP classes, please see the Registrar's Office Academic Schedule.
