International Education Week
November 6 - 10
International Education Week is celebrated worldwide on the third week of November. As this falls on our reading week, we will be celebrating it during the second week. The University of Lethbridge will be hosting a variety of events to celebrate International Education Week this year.
At uLethbridge, we celebrate International Education Week to recognize the value of education abroad and honour ethnic and cultural diversity. Did you know that more than 85 countries represented here at the uLethbridge each semester, including well over 800 students, faculty and staff whose roots lie outside of Canada? International Education Week is an opportunity to better acquaint ourselves with our global neighbors—to share the sights, sounds and tastes of the world outside our Canadian borders—to experience the world right here in our own backyard!
Participate in International Education Week
- Attend the Study Abroad Fair and learn about the benefits of studying abroad, connect with students from around the world, and discover the international programs available at the University of Lethbridge
- Play International Feud or come watch the show to join the fun!
- Learn how to greet someone and introduce yourself in another language; attend a mid-day Mini Language Lesson every day during IEW
- Enter a special recipe in the Place Your Plate recipe book
- Attend the Living Library: don't borrow a book, borrow a person and learn about their country and culture
- Vote for your favourite Capture Culture Photo!
