Blood Tribe Sponsored Students

Retain Post-Secondary Sponsorship

Blood Tribe students can participate in Co-operative Education programs without losing post-secondary sponsorship.

Once you have registered in a work term, you will:

  • Maintain full-time student status
  • Remain eligible for continued sponsorship
  • Continue to receive funding for tuition and textbooks

Living Allowance Limitations

If you are a Blood Tribe student earning over $500 per week working at your co-op job, your living allowance will be temporarily stopped. This time does not count towards the 48 months of allowance time. Once you return to classes, the living allowance will be reinstated.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
