A bachelor's degree (BA) in art is a broad, general program of study that allows you to explore art as well as other interests and provides flexibility in the courses you take.

The Bachelor of Arts (Art)/Bachelor of Business Administration stream requires less art courses and provides more flexibility for you to gain a wide-ranging set of skills and expertise. This is a 50-course (150.0 credit houra) Combined Degrees program jointly offered by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Dhillon School of Business.

What you need to know as a current student in this program
The Faculty of Fine Arts and the Dhillon School of Business jointly offer a 50-course (150.0 credit hour) Combined Degrees program leading to the degrees Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Upon successful completion of the Combined Degrees program, you receive the BA (Art) degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts and the BBA degree from the Dhillon School of Business.
For the BA (Art) program there are some must-take courses that provide a great foundation for your major, but you'll have a lot of flexibility in choosing your courses for the path and creative study you wish to take. Refer to your Program Planning Guide in your calendar year for the courses you'll need to take and choose from within the Art Studio lists, Art History/Museum Studies lists and as Art Electives.
- at least 30 courses (90.0 credit hours) with cumulative and graduation grade point averages of at least 2.00;
- at least 10 courses (30.0 credit hours) at the 3000/4000 level;
- 13 required art courses for this major;
- at least 20 Dhillon School of Business courses;
- Completion of the Liberal Education List Requirement.
Remember that program requirements vary depending on the calendar year, which is usually the year of admission (or readmission) to ULethbridge. Therefore, requirements may differ from year to year even within the same major.
