W700, also known as the Asper Centre for New Media, is composed of a shared general space with Digital Audio Arts (W700), a dedicated New Media computer lab (W700B), the New Media & Music Equipment Lending Centre (W721) and access to Studio One and Studio Two. This space also features the Level 7 Gallery, a digital media gallery for New Media, located at the outside entrance.

Please be advised that this is a multi-use area and some of the labs will be used regularly by other students, faculty and staff. 24-hour access is provided to W700 and W700B by swiping your student ID card in the card-reader to the left of the main door.

New Media & Music Equipment Lending Centre Hours:

Monday-Friday: 9:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-4:15pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00pm-2:00pm

Who can use the space

  • Non-majors enrolled in 3000-4000 level studio courses may request access to the centre through the Chair of the Department of New Media or an authorized delegate.
  • Labs or other course-related instruction may be held in W700B. Access during these times may be restricted.
