Call for submissions:
- The competition is open to ALL U of L students in good academic standing at the competition closing date. One entry per student.
- Submissions must focus on the history of Lethbridge and/or southern Alberta
- Submitted essays must be part of an independent study or third or fourth year coursework completed at the University of Lethbridge.
- Students can submit a copy of their essay to Jenny Oseen oseejs@uleth.ca.
Prizes:
- First prize of $750
- Second prize of $250

Leading up to the University of Lethbridge's 50th anniversary in 2017, U of L alumnus Terry Whitehead (BA '94) established the HistoriCity Essay Award to encourage excellence in historical research on the City of Lethbridge and the University of Lethbridge.
