Campus Alberta Neuroscience (CAN) - Conference Support Program

Campus Alberta Neuroscience (CAN) was developed to increase the connectedness, scope, scale, success and impact of neuroscience and mental health research, education and translation in Alberta. CAN’s best avenues for impact are through bringing people together to develop and enhance collaborations. CAN offers six programs to support the collaborative engagement of Alberta’s neuroscience community.

This program is designed to support the development, establishment and expansion of cross-campus collaborations and teams. The program supports neuroscience and mental health researchers and trainees from the University of Alberta, University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge engaging in initial collaborative discussions, as well as meetings of research groups and networks. The Team Formation Program offers reimbursement of up to $2,500 in travel and meeting costs (within Alberta) to bring researchers together to develop productive collaborations in neuroscience and mental health research and/or translation.
