CAAIF Research Fellowship in Type 2 Inflammation
Supported by Sanofi Genzyme Canada.
The objective CAAIF Research Fellowship in Type 3 Inflammation is to:
- Increase Canadian research capacity in the area of Type 3 Inflammation
- Support the research career of promising researchs, and
- Produce high-quality research in Type 3 Inflammation
Financial Support
There are two Awards available. The Fellowship will cover up to $75,000 primarily for the applicants salary expenses, a maximum of $25,000 of which may be used for other expenses directly related to the proposed project work. This includes a maximum of $5,000 travel allowance.
Duration
The Fellowship is for one year, non-renewable. Fellowships must commence within six (6) months of receiving the Award.
Eligibility
Applicant must be a postdoctoral fellow or in a research-based fellowship* (PhD, MD or equivalent) within the first five years of obtaining their advanced degree (with adjustment made for career interruptions**).
Applicant must currently be undertaking research training.
The Fellowship must be held at a Canadian University, affiliated teaching institution or Research Institute and the supervisor must have an academic appointment in that University or Institute.
* Residents currently completing their Allergy and Clinical Immunology training are not eligible to hold this Fellowship.
**Career interruptions include: parental leave, illness, health-related family responsibilities, mandatory military service, disruptions due to war, civil conflicts and/or natural disasters in the country of residence.
