Awaakaasoomahka saahmiss siikootahksin Collection

Awaakaasoomahka saahmis siikootahksin is a special collection within the LEA. The aim of this project is to bridge together traditional knowledge of the Niitsitapi with western scientific practices. The content of this collection has been identified through collaboration with Siksikaitsitapi elders and knowledge holders. This collection includes but is not limited to botanical species that have a significant role in Niitsitapi life. All specimens have been collected with Niisitapi traditional practices then identified and preserved using standard western scientific methods.
