Traditional knowledge
"Chokecherry" abundant in berries in mid to late august Pákkii’p has always been an important form of subsidence for the Niitsitapi. The large seed makes them difficult to work with, traditional uses include pemican.
Habitat
Prairie, river valleys , in sheltered areas.
Description
Annual, Tall up to 30dm, dense terminal floral clusters.
