Apahtó’kii Pinus contorta information

Traditional knowledge
"Lodge pole pine" is the main species used for the poles of a tipi. Traditional sites for harvest include the Eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, and Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.  

Habitat
Subalpine to montane, rich moist soils.
