The MyExperience Transcript (MET) is a validated record of your professional and personal experiences, beyond academics, that you have engaged in while at the University of Lethbridge.
When used in combination with your academic transcript, it provides a comprehensive picture of your knowledge, strengths and relevant experience to future employers, researchers, professional associations and more.

 

How Does The MET Benefit You?

  • Accumulates and displays relevant professional work experiences and core employability skills that you can leverage in an active job search

Sharing Your Journey Through MyCreds.ca

The University of Lethbridge is proud to be Canada's first university to integrate MyExperience Transcripts with MyCreds.ca accounts. Students can now access and share both their academic transcripts and experiential learning records through a single digital wallet.

This innovative integration allows students to:

  • Manage all their credentials in 1 secure location
  • Share their complete educational profile seamlessly
  • Access their records anytime, anywhere in the world

What is MyCreds.ca?

The University of Lethbridge partners with MyCreds.ca, Canada's national credential network, to provide students and alumni with secure, digital access to their official academic documents.

This digital wallet service enables you to safely store, access, and share your credentials with educational institutions, employers, and other organizations worldwide.

How Do I Access This?

To access this feature, you need to:

  • Be a ULeth student or alumni (2017 & later)
  • Have or is participating in some form of experiential learning (ie: Co-op, Applied Studies, Events, Workshops, Etc)
  • Ensure this experiential learning activities is verified by the University through MyExperience

Adding An Experience

If an experience (as defined above) isn't already reflected on your MyExperience Transcript (MET) or has yet to be considered for inclusion, please feel free to reach out to an administrator via my.experience@uleth.ca

Consider the following information prior to contacting us about the potential inclusion of your experience

What Constitutes An Experience?

For an experience to be considered eligible for inclusion, it must:

  • Result in uLethbridge academic recognition or recognized not-for-credit activity
  • Be administered and validated by uLethbridge, or by a trusted partner. Validators will be uLethbridge staff/faculty or organizations with a formalized relationship with uLethbridge.
  • Provide an opportunity for students to develop one or more competencies from the MyExperience competency list (see below)
  • Enrich the community at uLethbridge and/or the broader communities in which we exist

Please Note

  • All current undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for a MyExperience Transcript (MET)
  • Experiences must be managed on the platform to be recorded on your MET
  • Upon graduation, you'll retain access to your MET through the MyCreds.ca online credential wallet platform
    • This allows you to easily share your MET with future employers, along with any personal and professional development certifications you've achieved, directly from your secure digital wallet.

What Makes a ULeth Experience Unique:

Competency Framework

The University’s competency framework is an in-house, comprehensive learning guide designed to empower and lead you throughout your personal and professional growth journey. Doing so by defining experiences under 5 core competency categories, ensuring that your activity provides you with ample opportinity to develop essential skillsets for success in academia and beyond.

Approved experiences have competencies attached to it by staff and faculty in accordance with how the activity falls into each of the 5 categories. After inclusion, you can choose to self-select the competencies you have developed, as a form of self-reflection and to help you develop a vocabulary to talk about the skills you acquired during the experience.

5 Core Competencies

Thinking: increasing knowledge; developing intelligence, conscious thought, and problem-solving abilities.

Examples: Critical thinking, creativity, inquiry & curiosity, technological literacy, financial literacy, research, rational thinking, problem-solving, transdisciplinary understanding

Thinking About Thinking: understanding the structure and process of a task or goal, knowing how to develop strategies to achieve the task, and understanding your own strengths. What you know about your own thoughts; how you understand, adapt, change, control, and use your thought processes.

Examples: Life-long learning, adaptability & resourcefulness, develop, manage, monitor & evaluate plans and projects, monitoring thinking, making transdisciplinary connections, self-regulating learning, overcoming barriers, patience & persistence with complex tasks, active observation, preparing, communicating & defending arguments, study skills & time management

Personal Growth: becoming your best self.

Examples: Self-understanding, identity development, a sense of purpose, resiliency, ethical reasoning & integrity, spiritual awareness, professional development, confidence, self-care, creative expression, resourcefulness

Cultivating Relationships: connecting personally and professionally with others.

Examples: Empathy, interdependence, meaningful relationships, collaboration & teamwork, leadership, emotional intelligence, communication, conflict resolution, mentorship, and role-modelling

Global Citizenship: influencing positive change in your communities, from local to global.

Examples: Community betterment, social & civic responsibility, stewardship, philanthropy, sustainability, embracing diversity, inclusion & equity, advocacy
