Finance diploma

Finance diploma

Start your in-demand finance career in just two years
Apply by June 30

Need a professional designation but short on time?

Our two-year (20-course) finance diploma allows you to pursue a professional designation in finance without the initial four-year degree commitment. The diploma, not offered by any other post-secondary institution in southern Alberta will prepare you for entry- and mid-level management positions. The best news is that demand for job candidates with proper skills is set to increase at an exponential rate, making you an asset to multiple companies right after graduation.

Benefits of taking the finance diploma at the Dhillon School of Business

You'll get:

  • the skills to land a job and pursue a professional designation in finance after graduation such as Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) and Canadian Securities Course (CSC);
  • hands-on, experiential training through in-class simulations and live portfolio management in our world class Centre for Financial Market Research and Teaching, or 'trading room";
  • access to optional paid work terms through co-operative education;
  • the choice to ladder into the Bachelor of Business Administration for maximum growth and employability and to pursue Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations;
  • a choice of study on either the Lethbridge or Calgary campuses;
  • primarily face-to-face finance classes with blended and online finance course offerings; and
  • affordable tuition. Approximate cost of the full diploma for Canadian students is $14,300 plus the cost of books. You'll also have access to these awards and scholarships.
