English for Academic Purposes Award Recipient: Xiarong (Erica) Qian
Erica, is one of the recipients of the Fall 2019 English for Academic Purposes Completion Award for her work in meeting English Language proficiency requirements by completing the EAP program. Erica comes from a bustling city in Northern China, and she choose to study at the University of Lethbridge as Lethbridge seemed to be the perfect city for a student focus on their studies.
Since arriving here, Erica and her family’s speculations were correct. Lethbridge has been the perfect city to begin her journey of higher education as someone who has moved thousands of kilometers away from home.
Erica has a love of travel and has entered the Dhillon School of Business’ International Management program at uLethbridge. Her instructor, Adriana Lima has commented on how Erica is a young lady that can move mountains! Additionaly, Adriana describes Erica as embracing the new culture, language and her academic work with a passion. Erica has a strong work ethic that will pave her way into future successes.
