About

For centuries, Poland has been a bridge between East and West Europe. Known for its medieval architecture, vibrant cities, and picturesque countryside, Poland offers diverse attractions such as the historic city of Kraków, the stunning Tatra Mountains, and the beautiful Baltic Sea coastline. Poland has made significant strides in its post-communist era, becoming a member of the European Union and experiencing steady economic growth. The Polish people take pride in their traditions, delicious cuisine, and contributions to art, science, and literature. Poland remains reasonably inexpensive and safe, with hospitable people who welcome visitors. Over the past decade, it has developed into a modern, vibrant and progressive state, yet at the same time it maintains its traditional culture.

Poznań is the capital of the Province of Wielkopolska (Great Poland) and is one of the oldest and largest cities in the country. 81 miles from the German border, it is situated at a strategic location on the cross-roads of the most important European road and rail transportation routes, lying halfway between Warsaw and Berlin. With its well-preserved Old Town, featuring colorful buildings and a lively market square, Poznań is great for history enthusiasts. The city is also known for its impressive Gothic-style architecture, including the iconic Poznań Cathedral. Besides its rich heritage, Poznań is a cultural hub, hosting numerous festivals, concerts, and art exhibitions throughout the year. Additionally, the city has a thriving culinary scene, with a wide range of traditional Polish and international food to explore.
