Health Insurance

Mitacs will purchase a comprehensive emergency health insurance policy for all interns.

Interns will receive their insurance policy information and e-cards directly in their emails from the insurance providers. 

Before arrival:

• Review what is covered and what is not
• Consider additional travel insurance if you want extended coverage (e.g., dental, prescriptions, travel interruption)

To bring:

• Insurance confirmation documents
• Any prescriptions (in original packaging)
• A doctor’s note for controlled medications
