About

The United States of America is the world’s third largest country in size and nearly the third largest in terms of population. Throughout its history, the United States has been a nation of immigrants. The population is diverse with people from all over the world seeking refuge and a better way of life. The landscape varies across the large country from tropical beaches in Florida to peaks in the Rocky Mountains, from rolling prairie lands and barren deserts in the West to dense wilderness areas in the Northeast and Northwest. The country is also a major source of entertainment: American TV, Hollywood films, jazz, blues, rock and rap music are primary ingredients in global popular culture.

New Concord is a small village in Muskingum County, Ohio, with a population of about 2,500. The average temperature in New Concord during the summer is 85°F (29°C); during the winter, 35°F (2°C). The terrain is gently rolling hills predominantly occupied by farms and wooded areas. New Concord offers activities such as movies, concerts, and shopping. Many State Parks and outdoor attractions are located near the village.

There are over 1500 undergraduate students and about 600 graduate students currently enrolled at Muskingum University. With a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, the university offers intimate classes with a strong sense of community. Muskingum has over 50 student organizations to choose from for students looking for a group of like-minded individuals.
