Lethbridge is divided by the Oldman River, and the west side, home to uLethbridge, is the newest and fastest growing area in the city. Whoop Up Drive and the Crowsnest Highway link the city's west side to its north and south sides.

The majority of our students live on the west-side, and the area includes two major supermarkets; a variety of restaurants and retailers; walking paths, parks and playgrounds, including Nicholas Sheran Park; the Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre, housing a swimming pool and ice arena; and Lethbridge Public Library's The Crossings Branch.

Lethbridge Transit offers six bus routes that service the west side, and two of them connect to North and South Lethbridge via the downtown transit centre. All west side routes stop at the uLethbridge transit loop.

The west side also features a network of pathways, great for walking, running and biking, which links neighbourhoods city-wide and provides access to the coulees and Oldman River valley, one of the largest urban park systems in North America.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
