Homemade Camera: Through the Eye of a Needle

Hosted by the Dept. of Art

Date: Friday, October 3, 2025

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

In this hands-on photography workshop, high school students explore the fascinating world of analogue photography. They learn about the amazing ways light creates images, build their own pinhole cameras, and discover how cameras and light sensitive materials work through fun, interactive activities—all in just one day!

 


Share Your Voice Workshops

Hosted by the Dept. of Music

Vocal events for ALL voice students in Southern Alberta

Join us each month for vocal activities at ULethbridge, working with our Dept. of Music faculty Dr. Janet Youngdahl and Dr. Sandra Stringer! 
 

Bring your music with you for one of our pianists at each event, and perform songs, arias, opera, and musical theatre! All workshops in the University Recital Hall, unless otherwise indicated:

Friday, January 16, 2026 – 1:30 – 3:00 pm & 3:00 – 4:30 pm – Mock Auditions and Audition Preparation (held at the Music Conservatory at Casa in downtown Lethbridge)
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Music Festival Preparation Workshop (See other event post below for more information)
    10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Junior Voice (both Classical and Musical Theatre)
    1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Senior Voice (both Classical and Musical Theatre)
Saturday, March 14, 2026 – 10:30 am – 12:00 pm – Singing on Stage with Others (duets and trios)
Saturday, April 18, 2026 – Time TBD – Pre-Music Festival Performances, as part of the Faculty of Fine Arts Vibe Festival
    Bring your Festival repertoire and have get feedback on your performance before the Festival begins!
 


Music Festival Performance Preparation Day!

Join the faculty of the Music Department and showcase your preparation ahead of the Lethbridge and District Music and Speech Arts Festival!

Perform your selections and get feedback from our expert faculty, share your musical talents with other festival participants, and explore some of our amazing performance facilities in the Faculty of Fine Arts!

Be sure to indicate your Festival Class/Age as well as the musical selection you will be performing on our registration form!

Once you have completed the Registration form (below), you will see a submission page that includes link to complete a liability form to attend the workshop. If you are under the age of 18, please ensure that it is completed by your parent(s)/guardian(s). After completion of this liability form, we will be able to connect with you directly on information regarding the schedule of events, arrival and departure from campus information, and more!
