BFA - Dramatic Arts (Technical/Design)

Bachelor of Fine Arts - Dramatic Arts (Technical/Design)

You are introduced to all areas of theatre production and design including costumes, makeup, scenery, properties, lighting, sound, and stage management.

Through intensive hands-on experiences, you develop advanced practical skills in at least two technical areas. Our immersive approach prepares you for the ever-changing world of theatre, whether you want to work with distinguished theatre companies, or initiate your own artistic plans.

As a senior student you assume major technical or design responsibilities in Mainstage and TheatreXtra productions. A thriving arts culture across campus and in the community provides further opportunities to expand skills, demonstrate leadership, and build connections.

What Can I Do With My Major?

Know your calendar year

Remember that program requirements vary depending on the calendar year, which is usually the year of admission to uLethbridge. Therefore requirements may differ from year to year, even within the same major.

For questions about this or changing calendar years speak with an advisor.

Minors

A minor is a good way to complement your major, have your interests in another subject area recognized on your official transcript, and expand your employment opportunities. It is an optional component of your degree program that requires a smaller number of courses to complete.

See An Advisor for more information about this.
