Engage With Our Community
Plan and Prepare Your Interactions

How to Engage
Select your representatives intentionally. Consider bringing alumni and recent hires who can share about the recruitment process.
Be approachable and create a welcoming environment. University students may be nervous or inexperienced at career fairs. Friendly, genuine interactions will help your organization stand out.
Use student-friendly language. Avoid heavy corporate jargon - focus on what your company does, what roles are available, and how students can grow with you.
Collect student information. Decide whether and how you'll gather their information. If so, how will you follow up?

Communicate With Purpose
Bring concise, well-organized materials. Highlight co-ops, entry-level roles, volunteer opportunities, and career paths.
Be transparent about hiring timelines, qualifications, and next steps. Students value clarity on how to move forward after the fair.
Be ready to explain: your company's goals and values, job roles, application processes, and career paths simply and directly.
Bring printed materials and digital options. Brochures, business cards, QR codes help to accommodate all students.
