14th ANNUAL CHINOOK SYMPOSIUM

for chemistry & biochemistry

The 14th Annual Chinook Symposium for Chemistry and Biochemistry is sponsored by the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge.

Symposium Wrap-up

There was a ton of activity in the Science Commons last Friday, November 19, 2021 as the 14th Annual Chinook Symposium for Chemistry and Biochemistry was hosted by the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge. The mandate of the symposium and associated poster prize is to recognize undergraduate and graduate students performing original research in chemistry and biochemistry.

Over 100 people participated in the symposium. Highlights include poster presentations from students at all levels (high school, undergrad, MSc, PhD, postdoc). Four oral presentations. 23 judges total from the U of L community. More than 15 prizes were awarded at the end of the day.

The Chinook Symposium for Chemistry and Biochemistry was an exciting return to an in-person large-scale event to highlight excellence in research! Congratulations to all who participated.
