After you submit your loan application (Alberta Residents)

Please Note: Loan & grant funding is directly deposited into your personal bank.

Please remember to pay your tuition and fees by the deadline!

  • Check your Student Aid account inbox – you will receive either:
    • an award letter indicating how much loan and/or grant money you will receive
    • a request for information missing from your original application
    • a rejection letter
  • Complete your Student Aid Financial Agreements (MSFAA’s):
    • The Student Aid Agreements need to be completed prior to funds being released. They provide the loan lender(s) with your banking details so funds can be deposited into your bank account
    • You may need to complete TWO Student Aid Agreements:
      • one for the Provincial loan lender (Alberta Student Aid)
      • one for the Federal / Canada loan lender (National Student Loan Service Centre)
  • School confirms your loan:
    • If your program matches your Uleth registration, and you are registered full-time, the school will confirm your loan and funds will be released as scheduled

  • The school is required to complete Section 5 (page 3) of your part-time application
  • Please fill out all other areas of the application and scan and email it to fin.aid@uleth.ca
  • Once Section 5 has been completed, the application will be returned to you with instructions on how to upload it electronically to Alberta Student Aid
  • You may be required to complete a Canada Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement for part-time loans
  • https://studentaid.alberta.ca/resources/applications-and-forms/

Once all conditions are met (Program & Registration), the school will confirm and your loans are disbursed electronically.

If you are eligible for grants, they will be deposited into your personal bank account

Do you want to be considered for grants only?

  • Once the application is completed, select ‘Proceed to Submit’
  • You will then be asked to enter a ‘Requested amount
  • Entering 1 (number one) signifies that you ONLY want grants, should you qualify

  • Your situation may change over time and it is important to inform Alberta Student Aid of any changes to your program, finances, or personal circumstances
  • Changes can be reported by submitting a Request for Review via your Alberta.ca account

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
