After-school Clubs

Destination Exploration offers a variety of clubs throughout the school year. The FriYAY Clubs are back on campus run out of the Outreach Facility at the U of L. You can find more details about Friday afternoon clubs here! These multi-week clubs are great to make new friends and explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) in a fun and exciting way! Our clubs are a unique way for parents to meet their childcare needs while keeping their children learning and having fun. Our clubs are one of our most popular programs and space is limited so don't wait to register!

Birthday Parties

Our custom science & tech-themed birthday parties are a great way to celebrate another trip around the sun! These parties are great for children turning 6-12 years old. Our parties are 2-hours in length where you pick 3 of our birthday party activities for your jr scientist and their friends to enjoy. The rest of the time is yours to open gifts or celebrate or eat any food you've brought.

Teachers

Looking for ways to engage your students? Why not book the Traveling Lab Coats (TLC) Workshop for your class! Our two-hour science and technology workshops, including demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on activities to help young students develop an excitement for science. As a proud grassroots program of Southern Alberta, our topics support the Alberta Learning Curriculum! We can introduce a topic, recap the students learning or ignite the spark of curiosity in the middle of the unit. No parent volunteers required!

Destination Exploration is also there to help YOU gain fun digital literacy and coding skills! Our Teacher PD is a great way to get comfortable bringing STEM into your classroom in new and engaging ways.

Long Standing Clubs

Our two after-school clubs, Arconic STEM Club, and Science Sizzle Club are initiatives run in partnership with the Lethbridge School District #51 and the Holy Spirit Catholic School District. These clubs are run through the schools and aim to provide equal gender representation within its participants. This gender balance will provide an opportunity to breakdown existing stereotypes and to open the conversation about equal opportunity for all to participate in science. Science Sizzle is aimed at students in Grades 4-6 and the Arconic STEM Club is aimed towards students in middle school and junior high schools.

Reading Week Camps (No Longer Offered)

Destination Exploration may offer camps during school breaks. These camps are not guaranteed to run, please check if there are plans for the upcoming school year.

PD Day Events (No Longer Offered)

Looking for something to do during a PD Day? Destination Exploration may offer day-long STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) events when the PD Days align across school districts. Please check if there are upcoming PD Day events.

Let's Talk Science
