All Girls STEM Day

The All Girls STEM day is brought to you by the Lethbridge School District No. 51, the University of Lethbridge, the City of Lethbridge and the Galt Museum & Archives.

Who: Open to all grade 6 to 8 girls in the Lethbridge School District

When: Monday, April 24, 2017

Where: Galt Museum & Archives , the City of Lethbridge and the University of Lethbridge

What: Hands-on science activities, learning about science-related careers, women in STEM fields, introduction to University

Why: To empower, educate, and excite future leaders in STEM.

General informaiton:

The day will begin at 8:45am from the Galt Museum & Archives lobby (502 1st Street South, Lethbridge, AB).

The morning will be spent learning from the women of the city and about all the STEM that happens on a daily basis in our city!

Lunch will be provided.

Transporation to the University is provided and the afternoon will be spent in various labs experiencing hands-on learning in a university lab environment.

The day finishes at the Alberta Water & Environental Science Buidling at 4:30pm.
