Program description

Combine your passion for business and law into a career. Explore the five-year dual degree Bachelor of Business Administration / Bachelor of Laws (BBA/LLB), a partnership between the University of Lethbridge and Bond University, in Queensland, Australia!
In this dual degree program:
  • earn a BBA, majoring in general management and an LLB in five years;
  • study adjacent to Canada's Rocky Mountains and on Australia's Gold Coast;
  • apply directly to Bond University (no application fee!) to pursue a bachelor's degree in Canadian Law, after completing 20 courses at ULethbridge;
  • enter Bond law school without writing the LSAT or completing a prior degree;
  • return to ULethbridge after two years at Bond to complete your final year of study and earn both degrees!

Bond University is Australia’s largest Law School for Canadian Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor students.

Sample timeline & tuition

Years 1 - 2: ULethbridge
  • Students complete their general management major course requirements at ULethbridge, (20 courses or 60.0 credit hours).
  • TUITION & FEES: Students attend the University of Lethbridge and pay ULethbridge domestic student tuition & fees, (based on 20 courses or 60.0 credit hours).
Years 3 - 4: Bond University
  • Students are eligible to apply to Bond University for the LLB portion of the dual degree, (equivalent of 24 courses or 72.0 credit hours), upon successful completion of their BBA course requirements, (20 courses or 60.0 credit hours, minimum), with Good Standing at ULethbridge.
  • TUITION & FEES: Students attend Bond University and pay Bond University International student tuition & fees
Year 5: ULethbridge
  • Students return to ULethbridge for an additional 10 courses (30.0 credit hours) to complete their BBA/LLB program. Upon completion of all requirements from both universities, students will be awarded both degrees, the ULethbridge Bachelor of Business Administration and the Bond University Bachelor of Laws, in Lethbridge.
  • TUITION & FEES: Students return to ULethbridge and pay ULethbridge domestic student tuition & fees (based on 10 courses)

Please note, effective July 1, 2025, the Bachelor of Management (BMgt) degree will change to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Students applying to the business degree program for Winter 2025 will be admitted to the BMgt program. Students applying for Fall 2025 and later will be admitted to the BBA program. ​For admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in general management, Canadian high school students in Alberta must have completed five of the following courses with a minimum 65% average across them:

  • Fulfilment of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. The Faculty of Arts and Science reserves the right to select applicants for admission and readmission based on admission average.
  • Upon completion of a minimum of 20 courses (60.0 credit hours) with Good Standing at the University of Lethbridge, students are eligible to apply to Bond University for the LL.B. portion of the dual degree for the equivalent of 24 courses (72.0 credit hours or 240 credit points at Bond University) and subsequently return to complete an additional 10 courses (30.0 credit hours) at the University of Lethbridge to complete the B.Mgt. program requirements.
  • This program is limited to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. International applicants do not qualify for this program.
