Unveiling the Peace Garden Mural by second-year art student Claire Lahey - National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women

University Library Main Floor (Level 10)
In memory of the 14 lives lost on Dec. 6, 1989, and the many others who have been impacted by gender-based violence, and in recognition of the 35th anniversary, the ULethbridge Library will be unveiling the Peace Garden Mural, which will be a place to reflect and remember. The mural was created by Claire Lahey, a second-year art student in the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Fine Arts researchers part of collaborative cross-country project awarded $2.5 million SSHRC Partnership Grant
Department of Drama researchers Drs. Justin Blum and Gabrielle Houle are co-investigators on Gatherings: Archival and Oral Histories of Performance, a multi-institutional project that focuses on archival and oral histories of performance in Canada, while Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Dr. Heather Davis-Fisch is a collaborator.
Manifesting Beauty: University of Lethbridge Faculty of Fine Arts receives Blackfoot name
Bearing a commitment to further the work being done to advance reconciliation and Indigenization at the University of Lethbridge, the Faculty of Fine Arts has been gifted a Blackfoot name – Piiksinaasin – by Iikaisskini (Low Horn) Dr. Leroy Little Bear (BASc (BA) ’72, DASc ’04).
