My work looks at the intersections between the personal and technological in our contemporary landscape and imagery. It merges multiple materials creating hybrid objects containing opposing elements of the organic, handmade, and photographic. Through the exploration of these material intersections and immersive, interstitial spaces, I consider the time and intimacy needed to build a connection to place. I use the camera as a tool in the healing process by exploring the connection it can create between the subject, photographer, and viewer. The Caravan Series and From Cooper’s Wood to Copperwood looks at how a personal connection to a place can promote healing for both the land and ourselves. Both works were created during my trip to Bantry, Ireland.

Special Thanks to my Uncle Nick and Aunt Michelle who let me document their beautiful home in Bantry where they have reclaimed abandoned farmland and brought back the native forest ecosystem.
