Spring 2022 Convocation FAQ

Yes! We are excited to return to in person ceremonies for Spring 2022. Convocation will be held on June 2 and 3. Find the ceremony for your program

Yes! If you are in the final semester of your program and registered to complete all of your required course work in the Spring 2022 term, then you are eligible to apply to graduate and attend the ceremonies.

You apply on the Bridge. The application to graduate has been extended to April 10. If you have questions about applying to graduate, please contact graduation@uleth.ca.

Information is coming soon. You will find details here with instructions on how to reserve your regalia and confirm your attendance at the ceremony.

The University is covering the rental costs of your regalia for the Spring 2022 Convocation ceremonies in recognition of your achievements during particularly trying times. You need to RSVP in order to get regalia.

Your credential will not be conferred at the ceremony; spring Convocation will be a celebration of your academic accomplishments. You will receive your credential after the ceremony.

If you are completing your course work in the Spring 2022 term you will not receive your parchment at the ceremony. Due to the extension of the term, some courses and/or grades may not be complete in time to have the parchments printed for the ceremony. We will mail your parchment. Please ensure your permanent address is up to date on the Bridge.

You will receive your digital parchment on MyCreds shortly after the ceremonies.

Students who completed the requirements of their program in December will receive their parchments at the ceremony or mailed to them if they do not attend.

Students who complete the requirements of their program in the spring term:

Once the Faculties/Schools have approved their list of graduates and the parchments have been printed, your degree and any related academic achievements (cords, medals etc.) will be mailed to you. Be sure to update your permanent address in the Bridge prior to completing your courses. Regardless of whether you attend the ceremonies or not, you will still receive your parchment(s) in the mail at the end of June.

The Convocation ceremony dates, June 2 and 3, were published in the Academic Calendar and many students have planned for family and their supporters to attend. Additionally, professors plan to attend convocation on these published dates and moving them could negatively affect your professors’ ability to take part.

Once you finish your remaining course work, you can apply to graduate again and attend the next ceremony offered. (October 2022 or June 2023).

As of right now, there are no mandated COVID precautions in place for events. We will supply a space outside of the gym where the ceremonies will be live streamed for guests to watch while being socially distanced and masked. Students who do not feel comfortable attending in person are encouraged to watch the live stream.

Final transcripts will be available on June 10th. MyCreds is the fastest way to share your transcripts with other schools, agencies, employers or licensing bodies.
