Hala Zabaneh

Indian-inspired art

Hala Zabaneh, a professional artist/ Drama student, was born November 3rd, 1981, and grew up in the suburban streets of Amman, Jordan. From the fresh age of two, Hala was enrolled at a private Christian missionary school now known as the Ahliyyah School for Girls, and continued attending until she graduated. Coming from an artistic family, it was natural for Hala to incline some artistic talents, but it only began to florish at the age of fourteen. As she continued to vigorously learn the craft, she graduated with an honorary in Arts from high school. Afterwards, she was accepted into the BFA in Fine Arts at the Augustana University College in Camrose, Alberta, but soon transferred to the University of Lethbridge to start her BFA in New Media. Not feeling it was enough, Hala returned to school to continue an after-degree in Technical Drama. Most of her inspiration comes from listening to music, reading fiction and fantasy, and watching tv and movies of all kinds. Other sources of inspiration come from artists on the internet and off, like Alfonso Mucha, Loish, Stephanie Puimun Law to count a few. She was also blessed with a wide range of imagination from a very young age, which began in her bedroom as a toddler where she sat for endless hours playing with toys and creating worlds and characters from the very heart of fantasy.
