The next revolution in biotechnology will be the age of rationally designing and engineering biomolecular (RNA/protein)-based systems, molecular machines, and devices that can operate both within and outside of living systems (Synthetic Biology). The Alberta (Applied) Synthetic Biology & Biomolecular Design Hub (Alberta SynBioMoD Hub) will be integrated into the emerging synthetic biology network in Alberta and Canada and focuses on deploying emerging Synthetic Biology and bioengineering platform technologies through partnering with technology end-users from academia, industry and the private sector.
