What if the future of engineering starts with a new approach?
The Bachelor of Engineering (Integrated Engineering) gives you the opportunity to explore different areas of engineering, including chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil and software engineering.
You’ll build a foundation of engineering knowledge and develop the skills to design solutions, solve problems, communicate ideas and work as part of a team. Through hands-on labs and team-based projects, you’ll put what you learn into practice, tackle real-world challenges and gain experience that can prepare you for a range of industries and careers.
The program also goes beyond traditional engineering training. Business-focused courses, including Innovation and Entrepreneurship and New Venture Start-ups, will help you understand how engineering and innovation can translate into new ideas, products and ventures. Through a partnership with Lethbridge Polytechnic, you’ll also spend a semester gaining hands-on experience in a polytechnic environment.
This broad, flexible approach prepares you to adapt to a changing world and pursue a wide range of in-demand career opportunities, from emerging industries and to creating your own business. It also responds to the growing need for versatile engineers who can bring a breadth of knowledge and skills to communities of all sizes, including Alberta’s rural communities.
As a BEng student, you'll access co-operative education, international exchanges, independent and applied studies as well as volunteer opportunities. ULethbridge is the only university in Alberta to offer work-integrated learning opportunities to all majors in the university, at both the undergrad and graduate levels.

Integrated Engineering students can gain valuable real-world experience while completing their studies. Canadian high school students in Alberta must have completed the following grade 12 courses and maintained a minimum 70% in each for admission to this program. You can also use these courses to meet our general admission requirements:

If you’re interested in the BEng program, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible. This is a competitive program with a limited number of seats, and applying early gives you the best opportunity to secure a place.
Applicants who meet the admission and program requirements will be admitted on a rolling basis until all available seats are filled. Once the program reaches capacity, qualified applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
