Wavemakers is a free, virtual career-building program open to all post-secondary students in Canada. Through hands-on collaboration, mentorship and real-world problem solving, you’ll gain experience that supports your career goals – and contributes to global change.
Participants work in teams to design solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, connect with employer mentors and build future-proof skills in a flexible, online environment. Flexible
New cohorts start every few weeks, with options for once-weekly or twice-weekly sessions. Choose the pace that fits your schedule and coursework.

Time commitment
- Orientation (2 hours)
- Expert-led sessions (8 hours)
- Team + mentor working sessions (8 hours)
- Approx. 4 hours of independent work
