Case competitions

Case competitions are business challenges which allow you to apply all the content you've learned in your courses to work in a tangible way. Teams of students are given real-life business problems to analyze and find solutions for, over a short period of time. They then present those solutions to a panel of judges including industry professionals, showcasing their business knowledge.

Not only do case competitions give you hands-on experience, but they also connect you to industry professionals and allow you to see how your ideas stack up against your business cohort.

The Dhillon School of Business holds two case competitions each year-- the Cor Van Raay Agribusiness Case Competition and the KPMG Case Competition.

Student Professional Development also encourages students to participate in external case competitions where you can continue to practice and develop key business skills and network with other students and industry professionals. Qualifying competitions are held before external case competitions to determine which Dhillon School of Business case team will represent the University.
