50th anniversary celebrations
This year, we celebrate 50 years of management and business education at the University of Lethbridge. It began in 1975/76 as the Bachelor of Management Arts program in the Faculty of Arts and Science. In 1989, the Faculty of Management was officially established as its own faculty, marking a period of major growth and program expansion across Alberta. Following a generous $10-million gift from business entrepreneur Bob Dhillon in 2018, the Faculty of Management was renamed the Dhillon School of Business, reflecting a renewed commitment to innovation, global thinking and ethical leadership.
That's half a century of delivering a transformative education experience to ten of thousands of students on three campuses.
This painting by Professor Emeritus Hiroshi Shimazaki depicts our campus buildings in Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge.
