WEBINAR:   MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTS for STUDENTS on CAMPUS
FRIDAY MARCH 4 @ 11AM - 12PM
Topic: Student Affairs Information on Mental Health Supports for Students
Passcode: 073468

During the webinar, representatives from Counselling Services, the Health Centre, and students from our Student Wellness Ambassador Program (S.W.A.P.) will provide information on services and supports and answer any questions you may have about these services. All of the services below are offered to students free of charge.

We will discuss the following services (and more) during the webinar:

Counselling Services
Counselling Services provides in-person as well as tele-counselling (Zoom or telephone) every day (Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Students on the Calgary campus can access counselling services as well. Counselling Services also offers group counselling and wellness workshops. These are confidential services offered by qualified professionals (registered psychologists and clinical social workers).
We provide same-day, emergency appointments (during office hours). If you are in crisis, contact the intake coordinator directly at 403 317 2845 or counselling.services@uleth.ca. These can be held in person, via Zoom, or by phone.

Psychiatric and Clinical Mental Health Services
Our Health Centre provides psychiatric and clinical mental health support for students. You have access to a psychiatrist, a clinical mental health therapist, or an addictions counsellor when you need it. (Alberta Health Services has staff on-site in our Health Centre) Referrals to these on-campus services are made through the physicians in the Health Centre.

Self-help and Peer Support
 Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) platform
7 Cups of Tea, available 24/7. Password: uleth

Concerns About a Peer
If you are concerned about a fellow student, you can contact Counselling Services for a consultation about how to provide effective support. You can contact Jennifer Ellis-Toddington (403 317 2819; jennifer.ellistoddin@uleth.ca) to arrange a consultation.
Student wellbeing is a top priority for us. We have invested heavily in these services and have partnered with external agencies (such as Alberta Health Services) to locate community-based services right on our campus to enhance access.
Did you know? Students who access our counselling services report that they are very helpful (92% report that counselling services helped them achieve their goals; 94% report that they were satisfied with the services they received).
We would look forward to sharing this information (and more) at the webinar this Friday.
