Wellness Support Sessions

What is a wellness support session?

Wellness is a broad term that can be used to help describe the environmental, physical, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, social, financial, and emotional factors that contribute to our wellbeing.

Wellness sessions are intended to help guide students to supports that are most appropriate for them

The wellness specialist can work on things such as:

  • Goal planning
  • Application support
  • Advocacy to agencies or partners
  • Brief emotional support
  • Someone to talk to that is not a counsellor

The wellness specialist CANNOT

  • Provide counselling
  • Guarantee supports
  • Do the work for you

The wellness specialist works with the Counselling Services team to help students find access to the supports that they need independent of counselling.

Please email student.wellness@uleth.ca to book an appointment.

Wellness supports are only available to currently enrolled U of L students. Please check out the Lethbridge ICA website for a complete list of supports available in the community.

The University is located on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory. We honour the Blackfoot people and their traditional ways of knowing in caring for this land, as well as all Aboriginal peoples who have helped shape and continue to strengthen our University community.
