James Dempsey was born in Regina, SK, and moved to Lethbridge with his family in 1992.
Post-secondary education as well as the game of Volleyball took James to Briarcrest College
and SAIT where he studied business.
James’ professional qualifications include holding a Mutual Fund License and Insurance
License. Additionally, in 2019, James earned his Financial Planning Diploma and in 2021 his
Certified Financial Planner’s Designation. James has taken a number of Professional Ethics
courses which he believes will serve him well in this new appointment. James Dempsey is the
consummate Financial professional and truly believes that sound wealth management helps
provide his clients with the freedom to live life to its fullest. James owns ‘The Master Plan’
Wealth Management with his father.
James was the recipient of the ‘Top 40 Under 40’ Award from the Lethbridge Chamber of
Commerce in 2019, and spends his personal time giving back to the community by coaching
volleyball, the sport that he played at the collegiate level.
James lives with his wonderful wife, Devon, and daughter Harper in West Lethbridge and is
honoured to have been appointed to the University of Lethbridge Senate. He looks forward to
serving his community in this capacity.
