It's Worth a Shot contest rules & regulations

Final draw winners must satisfy each of the following eligibility requirements to enter and win prizes in the It's Worth a Shot University of Lethbridge student COVID-19 vaccination draw:

Entry requirements

  1. Entrant must be: a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) at the time of entering the draw and enrolled in Fall 2021 as a student at the University of Lethbridge.
    • A resident of Canada refers to having an address in Canada (excluding Quebec)
    • Enrolled means enrolled at the University of Lethbridge on September 27, 2021, after the extended drop date.
  2. Entrant must provide official proof to the University Health Centre of having received, prior to 11:59 p.m. (MDT) on September 8, 2021, at least one COVID19 vaccination.
  3. No purchase is necessary to be eligible to enter this contest.

Rules

  1. Winners will be drawn randomly and the grand prizes will be awarded according to the identified student categories. Other prizes will be awarded randomly.
  2. Only one submission per person will be accepted.

Submitting entries

  1. Entrant must be: a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) at the time of entering the draw and enrolled in Fall 2021 as a student at the University of Lethbridge.

  3. No purchase is necessary to be eligible to enter this contest.

Prizes

A total of 141 prizes will be awarded.

  1. Prizes cannot be transferred and have no cash value.
  2. If any winner should be disqualified or should decline the prize, the University of Lethbridge reserves the right to name a runner-up as a winner in their place.
  3. The winners will be asked to complete a skill-testing question.

Grand prizes:

  • 9 grand prizes of tuition and fees for Fall 2021 at the domestic student rate (1 Calgary campus student; 1 graduate student; 7 undergraduate Lethbridge campus students)
  • Tuition and fees are described in detail for undergraduate and graduate students at these pages: https://www.uleth.ca/financial-services/fee-schedules
  • For the purpose of grand prizes for this draw, domestic tuition and fees include: Tuition, Student Administrative Fees, Fine Arts Access Fee, and the Sport and Recreation Services Fee. All other fees are excluded. The value will depend on the winners' student enrolment as of September 27, 2021, for Fall 2021 at the University of Lethbridge. The maximum value for an undergraduate student is $3,700.00 and the maximum value for a graduate student is $6,000.00.

  • 1 of 5 copies of Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer: approximate value of $20 each
  • 1 voucher for wings & a drink at The Zoo Pub & Grill valued at $20

Notification

  1. The prize draw will occur on September 10, 2021.
  2. Tentative winners will be notified at their University of Lethbridge email address and given 3 calendar days to provide official proof of their COVID19 vaccination to the University of Lethbridge Health Centre.
  3. Confirmed winners will be notified by e-mail at their University of Lethbridge email address on September 27, 2021.
  4. Prizes will be awarded on September 28, 2021.
  5. Names of winners will be made public on University of Lethbridge web sites and on social media.

Protection of privacy

The personal information requested on this form is collected under the authority of Section 33 (c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“Act”) and will be protected under Part 2 of the Act. The information is collected for the purpose of administering the University of Lethbridge’s #ulethherdimmunity student COVID19 vaccination draw, verifying the eligibility of winners, and promoting the winners’ names.
