Productive Management Series I

Productive Management Series I

Productive Management Series I includes three microcredit course offerings: Secrets to Productive and Energizing Meetings (MGT2850A), Making Fast and Smart Decisions (MGT2850B) and Stop Procrastinating! (MGT2850C). Although encouraged, you do not have to take all three courses in the series. Individual course descriptions are available below.
Productive Management Series I includes the following course offerings

Secrets to Productive and Energizing Meetings

MGT2850A

(Not currently scheduled, please check back to see when registration opens)

Actually, there are no secrets to creating productive and energizing meetings (and yes, meetings can be both). Fortunately, designing productive and energizing meetings is a skill you can master. In this course, you will learn evidence-based techniques to create and lead an effective meeting. Practicing these techniques in class, you will be able to immediately apply your knowledge.

Making Fast and Smart Decisions

MGT2850B

(Not currently scheduled, please check back to see when registration opens)

Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. No one argues the importance of action, but it’s important – especially in turbulent times – that decisions are well thought out, focused and made quickly. In this course, you will learn effective steps to heighten both your critical thinking and rational decision-making skills.

Stop Procrastinating!

MGT2850C

(Not currently scheduled, please check back to see when registration opens)

Do you want to get more done each day? To do so, stop procrastinating and get started. This course helps you understand procrastination and reveals key strategies to get more done. Unlock your trapped motivation!

Who can enroll?

Non-credit - open to all:

If you choose this option you will not be required to complete assessments for grades (i.e. exams or quizzes) though you will be expected to fully participate in the class activities and any discussion assignments. As there is no final grade assigned, you will not be awarded any course credit, but you will be provided a certificate of completion that may be used where applicable to meet professional development requirements.

For-credit - non uLethbridge students (Open Studies):

Open studies registration allows a community member to register for a course and, upon successful completion, be awarded 1-credit (per course) that could be applied to a future degree (or certificate). To take courses as an open studies student, you will be required to apply and be accepted to study at the University of Lethbridge.

For-credit - current uLethbridge students:

If you are a current student at the University, admitted to any program, you may register for any courses in this series through the Bridge. Each course is worth one credit, so taking all three during the term will be equivalent to a regular 3-credit course. Contact your academic advisor to see how these courses can fit into your program.
